Immigration Project
For this immigration Project, students worked either in small groups or individually and dove deeper into the reality of immigration and what it's really like to cross the border through reading books, watching films, and having guest speakers. All the while learning useful vocabulary along the way and putting our knowledge of Spanish to the test. My group choose to represent what we had learned by creating a short film titled "La Travesia de Alejandro." The film is demonstrating and comparing the lives of a privileged white male, who already lives in the United States, and a young man attempting to cross the border, facing danger and many other factors along the way.
